When I was a little girl my family would gather on special occasions for a fancy dinner at my aunt's house. The grown ups would always drink wine in beautiful glasses, and I lived for those moments when I could drink my favorite sparkling cider in a champagne glass and toast with them.
This Thanksgiving I wanted to recreate that fun for my kids, creating their own special drink they could sip from the fancy glasses and toast to one another and with us. Since we all have Popsicle® on the brain 24/7 since my partnership with them, I thought I'd create a fun sparkling punch with those delicious creamsicles.
Mixing both flavors with some sparkling cider, lemon lime or club soda, this is sure to be a hit! The kids loved it and it was the talk of my Thanksgiving! The two creamsicle flavors combined with the creaminess created a sherbert look, which was perfect! My youngest, RoRo, was sipping on everyones colorful straws trying to get every last drop.
The preparations is simple. You just drop at least three Creamsicles of each flavor into a punch bowl, then pour an entire bottle of sparkling cider over. You can also use a club soda, ginger ale, or even lemon lime soda. I used plain sparkling apple cider and it worked perfectly.
Let the Creamsicles melt into the sparkling cider, and leave the sticks in. Once you're ready to serve, just use a ladle and scoop the punch into a pretty (preferably plastic) glass and a fun straw.
The Popsicle® sticks are great to add as a fun stirrer!
This was the perfect drink for the kids while the adults had their preferred spirits or drinks.
For more Popsicle® fun, be sure to follow along on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest for many more fun ideas! I've truly enjoyed being a partner with Popsicle® these past few months. We've had so much fun!
I'd also like to share some of my favorite posts from the other Popsicle® Mom's. So many of them got so creative, and I just love all of their ideas! My kids and I will be having some fun with some of these craft ideas with the Popsicle® Sticks too!
